Come learn about nature’s force field and an exciting new frontier in science from Tyler Eddy, graduate student at the University of Michigan.
Our sun is constantly emitting the solar wind (yes, wind) that surrounds us and fills the spaces in-between the planets. This process creates an inflated region that our solar system sits inside much like how our atmosphere works for Earth. The exciting new discoveries that have come from the scientific missions studying the Sun and Heliosphere have brought enormous opportunities for space exploration in both the public and private sectors and are expanding our knowledge of the universe. More importantly, these advances have made us aware of the vital characteristics of the Heliosphere that are as important for our survival as the air we breathe. Come learn about nature’s force field and an exciting new frontier in science!
